A funeral was held today at St. Cecilia's Church in New York's Spanish Harlem for Hector "Macho" Camacho, who was shot and killed in Puerto Rico last week. Hundreds lined the streets to pay their respects. He will be buried at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
Hector's mother said the police have three suspects but no charges have been filed as they are still seeking a motive.

It's official. You Tube says Psy's "Gangnam Style" is the most-watched video of all time -- 812 million views as of Saturday night. (Added: Sunday at noon: 817 million.) Pretty incredible considering it's only been up four months. Here's You Tube's list of the most watched videos. (Justin Beiber is second with 804 million views for Baby ft. Ludacris, which has been out almost two years.)
In addition to the flash mobs all over Europe, he's been on the Today Show, the Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Ellen (teaching Brittany Spears) and joined Madonna at her concert Nov. 14. Next week, he'll be in Thailand, performing at an 85th birthday party for King Bhumibol Adulyadej. [More...]

Bump and Update: After suffering a cardiac arrest this morning, Hector "Macho" Comacho was removed from life support. His heart stopped shortly thereafter. His organs cannot be donated due to the length of time he was on life support after being declared brain dead.
A funeral will be held Tuesday in Santurce, PR. The family wanted to take him back to New York for a funeral and burial, but they said his financial condition didn't allow for it, unless he was cremated. Maybe one of the many media networks replaying his fights and career highlights, like ESPN Classic which is airing 7 hours of this fights today, will donate some of their advertising dollars for the trip to New York. Bump and Update 11/15/12 : The DA has dropped criminal charges against John Bon Jovi's daughter, Stephanie Bongiovi, and another student because of New York's Good Samaritan law.
Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara said he was dismissing the charges against both students. Under state law, someone having a drug overdose or seeking help for an overdose victim can't be prosecuted for having a small amount of heroin or any amount of marijuana.
Original Post 11/14/12:
Sending good thoughts to the Bon Jovi family and daughter Stephanie Bongiovi, 19, who was charged with heroin possession after being found unresponsive in her dorm room at Hamilton College in New York Wednesday. Another student was also charged.
Ms. Bongiovi is alive because someone called for help. If people fear arrest, they are less likely to call 911. That's why New York and several other states have enacted a Good Samaritan law. Arrest and charges send the wrong message in these circumstances. [More...]

Marsha Hunt, the mother of Mick Jagger's first child, Karis, is broke and has decided to let Southby auction 10 of his love letters to her written in 1969. Jagger was in Australia filming Ned Kelly at the time, and it's also where he wrote Brown Sugar. Hunt was the inspiration for Brown Sugar, and a star in her own right.
The letters will be sold as one lot at Sotheby's on 12 December and carry an estimate of £70,000-£100,000. Hunt said if she hadn't been hard up she would have happily offered them to have a public institution but she hopes the letters will correct some of the misinformation there has been about Jagger and that time. Apparently, things did not go smoothly for many of those who paid to watch the John Stewart - Bill O'Reilly rumble online through Roku. There were troubles logging on to the debate and staying logged on for the first half hour.
At the Speakeasy blog of The Wall Street Journal, what was supposed to be a real-time account of the Rumble instead recorded for 42 minutes a blogger’s inability to connect to the online stream. On Twitter, Roger Ebert complained that he could not get coverage of the debate from the video-streaming service Roku, writing: “I promote Stewart vs. O’Reilly on ROKU on FB and Twitter and can’t log in myself. Bad image for ROKU.”
Roku is going to replay the mock debate and make it available for download-- and offer refunds to those who want them. But it is a good reminder that the internet needs a backup plan when it comes to anything important with a firm deadline. [More...]
